The 7 mega pixel S760 is easy to use and packed with very innovative features. And what’s best, the price it’s soft and almost for every pocket. Even though the Samsung S760 Digital Camera has been marketed as an entry level camera, it does offer a little more than the normal cameras of that level. Much of the technology which Samsung now take for granted has been included in this model and it is sure to prove popular. When you consider that Samsung offer a quality and reliability which few other companies can reach, this camera would make an ideal gift for yourself or a friend.

The Samsung S760 have a 3x optical zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent zoom length of 38-105mm. This camera also feature a Digital Image Stabilization mode and Face Detection auto focus/auto exposure. The Samsung S760 is a camera in the 7.2 megapixel range. Self Portrait mode uses the face detection system and won’t let you take a shot until a face is centered in the frame. Turning the flash off adds some noise to the photo, but definition levels are still good compared with other similar digital cameras. The light used is typical indoor late winter, daylight with the lights turned on. For lighting that is lower than this you are likely to require flash.

The Samsung S760 and Samsung S860 also boast a special effects “E” button, which gives users instant access to a host of creative controls, including options for resizing and rotating images, adjusting brightness, contrast and saturation levels, fixing red eye, and manipulating color such as saving captured images as B&W, Sepia, Red, Blue, Green, and Negative. Users can also shoot video with the Samsung S760 and Samsung S860. The cameras’ Movie mode lets users capture video in one of two resolutions, 320×240 or 640×480, at 30 frames per second in AVI (MJPEG) format. Just as in still-picture mode, the DIS image stabilization system can be engaged to compensate for camera shake and to reduce blur.
Conclusion: A simple digital camera with a simple design but with powerfull technology and a very good quality. A bit too large to fit into a pocket, but it is a compact model nonetheless. It is available in a number of colours including black, silver and pink.
