Loading ...The highly rumored Samsung i900 is finally unveiled by Samsung. Called Samsung i900 Omnia, this Windows Mobile PocketPC seems as a strong competitor of the rumored 3G iPhone, which should be announced today too. Of course, the feature set puts it head-to-head with HTC Touch Diamond too. The i900 Omnia is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and features 8GB/16GB of internal memory with a micro SD slot, a WideQVGA display (240 x 400 pixels), an optical mouse, TV-Out feature giving users the option where to watch their video files, and a 5-megapixel auto focus camera with face and smile detection plus auto-panorama shot. Geotagging is also among the camera features because of its built-in GPS receiver.

It has a 5 megapixel camera with face and smile detection so you don’t need to carry a separate digital camera when you’re out. Plus the Omnia has built in software so you can trim, dub and add subtitles to your video clips to create your own personal movies and share them with everyone using the TV output. It also has an MP3 player and FM radio with RDS so you can listen to all your favourite music. You can do your internet browsing on the move at high speeds with 3G and it has a touchscreen QWERTY keyboard to make writing emails and texts quick and easy
The Samsung Omnia is the first Windows Mobile-based DivX Certified phone on the market and the fourth Samsung mobile to achieve DivX Certification.
The Samsung i900 Omnia, is a very interesting choice, if you’re looking for a much better iPhone replacement Cell Phone.
