The Indiana State Police is assisting the Rush County Sheriff’s Department at the scene of a devastating tornado that touched down in the small town of Moscow (in Indiana) yesterday evening. The tornado struck the small town located approximately ten miles southwest of Rushville at approximately 9:20 p.m. The tornado cut a path approximately 700 yards wide with most homes in town receiving damage. One home was completely destroyed and its resident found approximately 100 feet from her home.

Two landmarks in the small town that defined Moscow were destroyed. A 100 year old covered bridge that linked the community to Rushville is completely gone. Power lines are down throughout the area and trees are down. Power companies and tree services are working diligently in the town. The powerful tornado struck central Indiana, injuring five people, one of them critically, authorities said.
The twister also struck Indiana National Guard Camp Atterbury, about 25 miles south of Indianapolis injuring two troopers.

It's really spooky to be able to see and hear a tornado from the distance we were able too. Less than a mile away from what I figured. I do have to say, no, it did not sound like a train.
