Jeremy Wariner made his first appearence in the 400 meteres on the world athletic stage by winning the gold medals at 400m and 4×400m at the Athens Olympics Games. Jeremy beats another record, he was the first CAucasian man to win the Olympic gold medla at the 400m since Viktor Markin (ex-URSS) in 1980. Following his Olympic successes, Wariner turned professional, foregoing the rest of his collegiate eligibility, though he remained at Baylor and continued to be coached by Clyde Hart.
Jeremy Wariner, also won the 400m in 2005, at the United States Track and Fiedl Championships with a spectacular time of 44.20. Also in 2005, Jeremy Warnier made the impossible, winning in Helsinki the 400m World Championship with another spectacular time of 43.93. Also in the same World Championship, Jeremy Wariner won the 4×400m Team gold medal with the American Team.
